Going out to Bukit Tinggi (Malaysia), this trip is 2D1N in September 20th-21st, check out in calender and it will be fun and a place to relax. Any message or queries you can PM me or send to moderator. Some information in there which is found in search engine. The Perfect Getaway at Malaysia's Single Largest Hill Resort Berjaya Hills (formerly known as Bukit Tinggi Resort) captures the essence of the different cultures of the world in a single unique destination! Just 40 minutes' drive from Kuala Lumpur and 10km off the East-West Karak Highway, Berjaya Hills covers 16,000 acres of rugged hills and mountains crowned with lush tropical rainforests. At 2,700 - 3,500 feet above sea level, the air is cool, fresh and rejuvenating. The perfect destination with a world of difference!
Tucked away high up in the mountains, Bukit Tinggi Resort is currently managed by Berjaya Hotels & Resorts. Bukit Tinggi Resort is an opportunity to share a well-deserved weekend getaway with friends and family. Amidst tropical greenery and country-fresh air rests this comprehensive resort township developed and designed to cater to your every pleasure, at only 45 minutes from KL city.

Relax your hard-worked senses and experience a timeless blend of the old and new at the prestigious Bukit Tinggi Resort. Whether it's quality time with loved ones or a game of golf with friends or business partners, Bukit Tinggi Resort will definitely make the impression. Living in the Charm of Yesteryear Colmar Village is an inspiration of French artistry and a reminiscence of the way it was. Capturing the essense of an authentic northwestern French village, the Colmar Village is French countryside living at its best, all within the Bukit Tinggi Resort at only 45 minutes from KL city. Wine and dine, visit quaint little gift shops or simply enjoy the pleasing atmosphere of the village's townsquare. A dream getaway. Medieval Royalty for a Day A unique opportunity of living in a castle for a day. Feel like a king as the mystery of living in a castle gradually unfolds, bringing to you and your family pleasant surprises. Experience a French landscaped courtyard and monumental towers as a lookout point to the alluring Colmar Village. Classic grandeur right here at the Bukit Tinggi Resort, because for the elite, there is no substitute, only the best.

The theme hotel is made up of eight blocks of architectural wonder, each with its unique style, from its colourful roof tiles to cobblestone ground. The hotel has several outlets, where you can dine in the French way. Central to the village is Colmar Square where the aroma of the blooms will tantalise your senses. There are fountains and park benches in the square for relaxation after a hard day's work browsing in the 17 theme shops, or should one wish to take a breather from participating in the various activities. The drawbridge reminiscent of ancient castles, clock tower with an original cuckoo bird clock, and the viewing tower complements the ambience. Live bands and snake performances entertain the visitors on a stage. A clown juggles balls and pins, rides on his cycle, hops around playing tricks and acting merry. Authentic French food is served from sidewalk cafes and restaurants. The tables are placed strategically around the square so you can enjoy a meal or glass of wine whilst taking in the ambience.
The children can play with the adorable furry beings at The Rabbit Park and you can discover Japanese authenticity at the Japanese Village.
The Japanese Village is located at 3,500 feet above sea level. The first of its kind outside Japan. It encompasses a Japanese Tea House, Sakura and Ume Tatami Suites, and a Botanical Garden. An hour long authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony conducted by Kimono clad ladies can be observed at the Japanese Tea House located within a Japanese garden with mini waterfalls and a pond of multi-coloured Koi. A one kilometre walk path built on four acres of virgin forest lies the Botanical Garden. Here amidst lush greenery, one can appreciate the sight of multi coloured and multi shaped floral and fauna, hear the call of birds and monkeys, insects buzzing and the fragrance of the growing forest. Signs with names and information snippets of trees, plants and flowers were put up for visitors. Bukit Tinggi Bukit Tinggi is just over an hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur City centre and lies some 2,500 feet above sea level. Colmar Tropicale, located in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, is a replica of a collection of buildings from a north-eastern village in France dating back to the 16th Century. It's just like a picture postcard. The French themed resort was opened in July 2000. It's surrounded by lush tropical forest land. Just RM 16 for adults and RM 8 for children below twelve, you can enjoy the various entertainment at Colmar Tropicale. A clock tower at the entrance welcomes the visitors. HuraYYYY, going to trip very soon

YAhoo!!!, going to trip again, this time with the one 1 love very much, well this time plan to go Langkawi, maybe take 2-4days, and what i can say is Cuti Cuti Malaysia is the best travel site to book with, what i can say is good, fast and cheap overall, u can see comment from other peoples who live in there and enjoy trips experience.

SO when i go there? lol very fast, guess maybe in August, anyway will post photo of the trip all the way i go.

1.Are there any buses from kl central or all from puduraya only?
KL Sentral, Puduraya, Duta, PWTC

2.Which bus companies are the most comfortable/reliable/safe?
Konsortium,

Cheapest & best way, take the busTo Kuala Perlis approx. RM38 then ferry ride approx RM15

or by flight

I wouldn't say that the cheapest is the best. Bus and ferry is one option, but internal flights with Air Asia or Firefly to Subang are fairly reasonable, especially if bought locally.

3.Are there any busses that go direct to the kuala perlis/kuala kedah without too many stops?
Depends

4.is it better to take bus to kuala perlis or kuala kedah?
Kuala Perlis

5.How to get from kuala perlis bustop to the jetty? i read that it is in walking distance. true?
Kuala Perlis, Yes. It is a 3minutes walk to the ferry terminal.

6.For the bus ticket, do we buy a round trip, or one way then buy another a one way ticket on the way home?
I prefer buy round trip, anyway some time may get cheaper if seperate.

7.Where do we buy the bus ticket from?
You can purchase ticket at Pudu, KL sentral, Duta, PWTC

Ferries are also available from Penang (Tel: 604-2631943
By Road From the North South Expressway (NSE), head north to Kedah and take the Alor Setar Selatan exit (Interchange 177) onto the highway headed to Teluk Kechai and on to Kuala Kedah where you can catch a ferry to Langkawi island. Alternatively, you can also catch ferries from Kuala Perlis further north, accessible via the Jitra Selatan exit (Interchange 181) via Kodiang and Kangar on trunk road K3. This route is longer at 48km from the NSE exit. Dataran Lang is located close to Kuah Jetty.

Comfortable Air conditioned Coaches are available as well as long distance taxis. Google Search for coach companies in KL that ply to Kedah and Penang. You will need to take a ferry across to Langkawi and you can do that from Penang. Best to travel by coach...the cheapest way and once you have done Penang and Langkawi, you can use the same service to travel down to Singapore.

Check with the coach companies for rates.
